CAFE TACVBA
Café Tacuva, aka Cafe Tacuba, is a alternative rock band, originally from ciudad Satelite in the State of Mexico. The Group was formed in 1989. Since then they have won many awards such as, Grammy Awards and the Latin Grammy Awards and are considered one of the Best Latin Rock Bands. The group is formed by Rubén Isaac Albarrán Ortega (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Emmanuel del Real Díaz (keyboards and vocals), José Alfredo Rangel Arroyo (guitar) and Enrique Rangel Arroyo (bass and double bass). While the lead singer is Ruben, the four members of the band have lent their voices to productions.
The first public appearance of the Group was in June 1989, at the son of the Crow bar. Soon thereafter, they began a series of presentations in various bars in the city. Their popularity increased to the point that in 1992, after signing a contract with Warner Music, more than 40,000 copies of his first album were sold in just two weeks. The success of their first album, Café Tacuba, was awarded the double gold disc in Mexico and invitations poured in to perform at music festivals around the world.
Most of the productions made by the band at that time were influenced by anglo-saxon music, along with styles from The Cure and Def Leppard. Café Tacuva is my favorite rock band and I am going to talk mostly about their songs. For me all their songs have a pretty deep meaning and have a good message.
